The following is a listing of funding opportunities potentially available for projects related to Travel and Tourism with focus on programs applicable to North Central Kansas. Click here for helpful tips on seeking project funding.


Kansas Tourism Grants

Grants to help Kansas not-for-profit organizations, government agencies, and for-profit businesses build and promote attractions in the state. Programs include the following:

  • Attraction Development Grants – designed to provide assistance in the development of new tourism attractions or the enhancement of existing attractions within the State.
  • Marketing Grants – designed to assist organizations in innovative, dedicated advertising and marketing.
  • The Barn Adaptation and Restoration Needs (BARN) Grant Program – designed to assist in the revitalization of old barns within the state to support and create new agritourism operations throughout Kansas.

Community Promotion Grant

This program is available for Communities of Action and Excellence in the Kansas Community Empowerment program (formerly Kansas PRIDE Program). The program funds $1,000 $1:1 matching grants for promotion of communities. Project examples include welcome or directional signage, website, social media campaigns or community apps, video, radio/newspaper ads, promotional materials, and ads in travel/tourism magazines.
