Website Building Workshop

This workshop is intended for individuals/business owners interested in creating a new website or updating an existing/out-of-date website. The half-day workshop will give small business owners the opportunity to learn the basics of building and owning a website. The attendees will be hands-on with developing their own site and understanding the process of creating an online presence.
Plan to bring a laptop computer!
The class will walk through:
- Website basics
- Website Do’s and Don’ts
- How to get started
- Platforms/Hosting sites to use
- Marketing features to include
- How to work within the GoDaddy Content Management System
Class size is limited to 8 to allow for more individualized training. Deadline to register is 4/4/2022!
A waiting list will be kept if registrations exceed that. We will email to confirm attendance approximately 48 hours in advance of the event to ensure the minimum class size is met.

About the Instructor:
The workshop will be instructed by Courtney Swanson, Outreach Coordinator of the Great Plains Technology and Manufacturing Cluster, and Susan Penka, Business Advisor at the Kansas Small Business Development Center at Fort Hays State University. Swanson and Penka each bring experience in web development and helping businesses improve their online presence.
